Features and function
Herpestop is specific product of cosmetics with special purpouse to assist in alleviating symptoms caused by the Herpes simplex virus. Herpestop is a product with carefully selected ingredients such as essential oils of tea tree, ravensara and niaulia who have expressed antiviral effect. It reduces the sensation of burning, itching, pain and contributes to faster wound healing.
Ravensara oil (Cinnamomum camphora (L.) J Presl., Lauraceae)
Ravensara is one of the most potent antiviral essential oils. It contains oxide 1,8–cineol and monoterpenic alcohol α–terpineol. In small quantities it contains compounds such as sesquiterpenes β–kariofilen and esters of terpenil acetate. Ravensara is used for treatmet of influenza, viral infections of the respiratory system, viral hepatitis, herpes infections and infectious mononucleosis. Ravensara also neurotonic that helps to appeasement the central nervous system. This is one of the safest skin-tolerant oil.
Niaouli oil (Melaleuca quinquenervia (Cav.) S.T. Blake, Myrtace)
As many other plants from this order, Niaouli has been used for centuries as medicine for treatmnet different infections. The leaves of this plant contain the highest concentration of essential oil. There are three main chemotypes: chemotyp 1,8–cineol/viridiflorol, chemotyp trans–nerolidol and chemotyp linalol. The most impotrtant chemotyp is 1,8–cineol/viridiflorol which is main ingredient of Niauoli oil used in Herpestop product. Due to the content of monoterpenols this essential oil is effective against bacteria and fungus. It has a strong antiviral effect. It also affect HIV virus. It is indicated for various infectious diseases such as infections of respiratory tract, otitis media, herpes virus infections, human papilloma virus and infectious heart disease. Niaouli is also used in the prevention of skin damage caused by radiation.
Tea tree oil (Melaleuca alternifolia (Maiden & Betche) Cheel, Myrtaceae)
Tea tree essential oil is a powerful antivirotic and anti–biotic (fungicide and bacteridice). It is indicated for respiratory infections, infectious enteritis and colitis, urogenital infections, fungal skin infections, pimples and prevention of skin damage due to radiation therapy.
Composition
Herpestop stick contains folowing ingredients: Melaleuca alternifolia aetheroleum, Cinnamomum canphora CT cineol aetheroleum, Melaleuca quinquenervia CT aetheroleum, cetylis palmitas, Cacao oleum, parafinum liquidum, vaselimum album, cera alba and paraffinum solidum.
Dosage and administration
Herpestop stick should be applied several times a day to the affected skin areas.
