Chamomile filter tea

Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla L., Asteraceae) is an annual weedy aromatic plant. The ancient Greeks and Romans knew it and used it as a drink and for compresses. Due to the high demand, today it is widely cultivated and has been spread all over the world.

Its flower heads are used to make tea drinks. The drink is used for pain and stomach cramps, for constipation, and for calming and refreshing, and chamomile poultices are used to soothe inflammation of the skin and mucous membranes.

Pour 2 dl of boiling water over the filter bag and cover. After 5-10 minutes, remove the filter bag and enjoy the natural taste. Sweeten as desired.
