Characteristics and purpose RECOVIT ORS effervescent tablets are used to maintain proper fluid balance and prevent dehydration, a condition caused by excessive loss of water and salts from the body.
They are ideal for rehydration after gastrointestinal disturbances, illness, or physical exertion.
ORS stands for Oral Rehydration Salts, a formula that contains a combination of glucose and electrolytes (minerals).
People with kidney impairment should avoid this product.
Contains glucose—use with caution in diabetics.
May contain lactose (from milk).
Method of application
Method of application Preparation:
For 100 ml of solution: dissolve 1 effervescent tablet in 100 ml of water.
For 200 ml of solution: dissolve 2 effervescent tablets in 200 ml of water.
Dosage:
Children over 20 kg body weight and adults: take 200 ml of solution daily.
Children up to 20 kg body weight: take 10 ml of solution per kg of body weight per day.
Example: A child weighing 5 kg should consume 50 ml of solution daily.
For very young children, it is recommended to give the drink by teaspoon.
For better effectiveness, the solution should be consumed slowly, sip by sip.
The prepared solution can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
